Senate Delays Plenary Resumption Once Again

Postponing their return to the plenary session, the Nigerian Senate has shifted the resumption date from April 23, 2024, to the 30th of the same month.

According to a notice issued by the Clerk to the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, this decision was communicated on Thursday in Abuja.

In a portion of the notice, it was stated: “Distinguished Senators are hereby informed with respect that the plenary session, originally set for Tuesday, April 23, 2024, has now been rescheduled to *Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 11:00 am.

“Please be advised that the plenary session will convene at the main Chamber of the Senate.

“Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this further delay, esteemed Senators.”

NewsNow has reported that this latest rescheduling is the second to occur since lawmakers in both the upper and lower legislative Chambers embarked on the Easter and Sallah recess.
