Encouraging his team, Gbenga Ogunbote, the technical adviser of Shooting Stars, has emphasized the need for his players not to lose focus despite the alteration in venue for their upcoming clash with Heartland on matchday 31.
Originally scheduled to play in Aba, the Oluyole Warriors will now be facing Heartland in Owerri, after the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) approved the Naze Millionaires’ return to their home ground.
Ogunbote, in his message to the players as reported by the club’s media, expressed regret over the venue change, highlighting the importance of staying concentrated on the task at hand.
“I want to apologize to you concerning the change in venue. We were informed about this development late, but despite that, I urge you all to maintain your focus and strive for the desired result,” he stated.
Shooting Stars secured a 2-0 victory against Lobi Stars in their previous match, with the Ibadan club currently holding the fourth spot in the NPFL table.
