The House of Representatives member representing Garki/Babura federal Constituency of Jigawa State, Honorable Isa Dogonyaro, has passed away.
Sharing the heartbreaking news on his Facebook page this Friday morning, Mohammed Bello El-Rufa’i, a fellow colleague of the late lawmaker, expressed his sorrow over the loss.
He posted, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. Earlier today, we bid farewell to a House of Representatives member, a remarkable parliamentarian, and a genuinely good person. May Allah SWT forgive him and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.”
Deputy House Spokesperson Phillip Agbese has confirmed the sad news to Daily Trust. He mentioned that he became aware of the lawmaker’s demise through social media posts and WhatsApp groups associated with the House of Representatives.
Agbese stated, “Colleagues have been offering Islamic prayers and tributes across different platforms. As of now, the House has not received any official communication nor has the family reached out to us.
He added, “Usually, the family communicates the news through the Speaker before we make an official announcement. I have been informed that the funeral prayer is scheduled to take place in Abuja this afternoon.”
