Rwanda Planning to Forge Partnerships with Ogun in Various Sectors

The Rwandan Ambassador, Mr. Christophe Bazivamo, expressed readiness to establish economic and educational ties with Ogun State for the mutual benefit of both regions.

During a meeting with Governor Dapo Abiodun at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ambassador Bazivamo acknowledged Ogun State’s advancements in education and industrialization, highlighting the potential for knowledge exchange.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating, “Rwanda is keen on exploring opportunities for cooperation with Nigerian entrepreneurs, particularly in sectors where Ogun State excels, such as industry and education.”

Discussing the potential for synergy, Ambassador Bazivamo emphasized the need for joint efforts in promoting industry growth and creating employment opportunities, especially for the youth.

He also mentioned Rwanda’s interest in enhancing its industrial sector to provide avenues for skill development among young people.

The Envoy underscored the significance of partnerships, mentioning the existing agreement between Rwanda and Nigeria on the Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation and the forthcoming Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to streamline collaboration.

Moreover, he highlighted the potential for Rwandan and Nigerian businessmen to collaborate, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange for the benefit of both nations.

Emphasizing the value of shared learning, Ambassador Bazivamo expressed admiration for Ogun State’s localized production practices and suggested opportunities for Rwandans to glean insights from such experiences for the benefit of their own industries.
