Aged 79, the esteemed British actor Bernard Hill, famous for his iconic roles in ‘Titanic’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’, has left us.
Confirmation of his passing came from his agent, Lou Coulson, who shared that Hill departed on a Sunday morning in the company of his fiancée Alison and son Gabriel.
It was Hill’s appearance in the 1982 BBC TV drama ‘Boys from the Blackstuff’ that initially propelled him to stardom.
His stellar performances as Captain Edward Smith in the 1997 Oscar-winning film ‘Titanic’ and King Théoden in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy earned him international acclaim.
