Relegation of Jigawa Golden Stars, City FC, Mailantarki FC from NNL

It has been confirmed that Jigawa Golden Stars, City FC, and Mailantarki FC could not maintain their positions in the Nigeria National League.

These three clubs were unable to secure favorable positions in NNL Group D, landing in the bottom three places.

Consequently, these teams are now set to participate in the Nigeria Nationwide League One for the forthcoming season.

Sokoto United emerged as the group leader with 23 points, followed by Sporting Supreme in second place with 22 points.

Both of these teams have qualified for the NNL Super eight playoffs, where the ultimate winner will be titled the 2024 NNL champions.

Notably, four teams will earn promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League from the NNL.
