Former Lawmaker Calls for Increased Efforts to Revitalize Economy, Urges Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has been urged by a former federal lawmaker and prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Farah Dagogo, to intensify efforts in rejuvenating the nation’s economy to alleviate the current hardships.

In a statement released by his media aide, Ibrahim Lawal, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, Dagogo emphasized the need for leaders at all levels of government to prioritize improving the living conditions of their people and easing their burdens, thereby complementing the President’s efforts.

Recognizing the challenging times the country is facing, Dagogo acknowledged that while there are difficulties, they can be overcome with the implementation of appropriate policies.

“Nigeria is currently at a crucial juncture. It is evident that the country is experiencing unprecedented challenges. However, with the right strategies and actions, we can navigate through these tough times,” said Dagogo.

“As a strong believer in the prosperous future of Nigeria, I urge everyone to make good use of this critical period by offering continual prayers for the nation and its people.

“It is imperative for leaders, including President Bola Tinubu, to intensify their efforts not only in enhancing the economy and fostering development but also in implementing compassionate policies to alleviate the widespread suffering that is being observed nationwide.

“During this time, let us also remember and sympathize with those affected by the insecurity plaguing our country, including civilians and security personnel, and pray for their souls,” he added.

With Easter celebrations approaching, Dagogo called upon all leaders in positions of authority to imbibe the valuable teachings and sacrifices exemplified by Jesus Christ, urging them to be willing to make sacrifices for the betterment of the people.

He reminded Christians of their duty to follow the compassionate path of Jesus Christ, promoting peace, love, tolerance, and unity.

“This sacred period of Easter should not just be a time of festivity but an opportunity for introspection; a time for us to unite, regardless of religious or political differences, and pray for divine intervention in our beloved nation’s affairs,” he emphasized.
