Three members of the Zamfara State local security outfit, Community Protection Guard (CPG), were tragically killed in a recent attack carried out by armed bandits.
Reports indicate that the terrorists targeted the local security operatives in the Jambako district of the Maradun Local Government Area in the state.
A resident of the area, Muhammad Jambako, revealed that the armed bandits launched the assault on the CPG personnel near Faru community, seizing their firearms and motorcycles in the process.
The incident has instilled fear and concern among the residents of neighboring communities in the region.
Efforts to reach the State Police command’s spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar, for comment were unsuccessful at the time of compiling this article.
