Ray Parlour Urges Arsenal to Secure EPL Star for a Brighter Future

In a bold move, former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has advised his former club to make a move for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak in the upcoming transfer window, even if it means breaking the bank, similar to the £100 million splurge on Declan Rice.

Arsenal has been making progress under the guidance of Mikel Arteta in their quest for the Premier League title. However, they recognize the importance of strengthening their squad in the transfer market to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and now Newcastle.

Last season, Arsenal made substantial investments, investing over £200 million in new talents such as Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, and England international Declan Rice, who set a new club record with his transfer from West Ham.

Parlour believes that Arsenal might have to match the £100 million fee paid for Rice to secure the services of Isak this summer, as he views the Swedish striker as the solution to their attacking challenges.

“Isak possesses the skill set that would complement Arsenal’s style of play. He could thrive alongside players like Saka, Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard, and Odegaard,” Parlour expressed in an interview with Football FanCast on behalf of NetBet Sports Betting.

“Having quality strikers is crucial, as evident in our era with Wiltord, Kanu, Henry, and Bergkamp. However, Newcastle would be reluctant to part ways with their top striker.

“If Newcastle is compelled to sell, then Isak could definitely elevate Arsenal’s game, and I am particularly fond of his abilities,” he added.

Isak, aged 24, has garnered attention as one of the most dynamic and impressive players in the Premier League, registering an impressive 34 goals for Newcastle over the past two seasons.
