Rangers’ Coach, Ilechukwu, Expresses Disappointment over President Federation Cup Exit

Expressing his frustration, Fidelis Ilechukwu, the head coach of Rangers, cannot hide his disappointment after his team was knocked out of the President Federation Cup.

In the Round of 64, the Flying Antelopes were defeated by Kano Pillars in a penalty shootout with a scoreline of 6-5.

This defeat shattered Rangers’ hopes of claiming a double title this season.

Now, the Coal City club will redirect their focus to the Nigeria Premier Football League, where they currently hold the top spot.

“This is the nature of football. Sometimes, such things happen. It’s painful. Being knocked out in the very first round of the competition is a first-time experience for us,” Ilechukwu shared with reporters.

“We are not pleased, but we have to accept it. I extend my best wishes to Kano Pillars. Our priority now shifts to the league, and we seek the support of our fans despite this disappointing performance.”
