Preview: Aina anticipates Forest Vs Chelsea clash

Excitement brews as Nottingham Forest’s defender, Ola Aina, eagerly awaits the upcoming showdown against his former team, Chelsea.

This Saturday, Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad will welcome the Blues to the City Ground for what promises to be an enthralling matchup.

Aina’s connection with the European giants dates back to his time with them as an under-11 player, eventually progressing to represent the Chelsea first team.

In 2019, the 27-year-old made a permanent move to Serie A side Torino, departing his long-time association with Chelsea.

Following their earlier 1-0 triumph at Stamford Bridge in September, Aina aims to aid the Reds in securing another victory over his former club, Chelsea.

“I don’t know if this is going to get me in trouble, but I am a Chelsea fan. It’s a fixture I’ve been looking forward to and I’m excited to be involved in it to see what happens,” shared the Nigerian in an interview with BBC.

“I don’t think there’s any point to prove. I don’t hold grudges or anything – whatever happened in the past happened. There’s no animosity there. It’s just the career of a footballer. I only have fond moments of being at Chelsea. It’s a chapter that closed and [I’ve] moved on, just how anyone else would.”
