In response to the coronavirus outbreak and the nationwide lockdown in Italy, Pornhub has announced that it will be providing free access to all of its content, including premium services, for the duration of the lockdown until April 3.
Moreover, the proceeds from the Modelhub platform will be donated to support Italy during this crisis. The announcement was made on Thursday, March 12. The statement from Pornhub expressed solidarity with Italy, stating, “Forza Italia, We love you!” and pledged to donate its percentage revenue from the ModelHub platform to assist the country during the outbreak.
In addition to this, the site also revealed that Italians can access Pornhub Premium for free without the need to provide credit card details during this period of staying at home.
Italy is a significant market for Pornhub, ranking seventh in the top 20 countries by traffic in 2019. As such, the gesture of offering free access to its content is a notable move. Italy has been hit hard by the coronavirus, with the entire country in lockdown, travel and public gatherings banned, and a high number of confirmed cases and deaths.
As of now, Italy has the highest number of confirmed cases outside of China, with 12,462 cases and 827 deaths. The country is facing a critical situation, and Pornhub’s initiative aims to provide some relief and entertainment during these difficult times.
