Four Men Apprehended by Police for Tricycle Theft in Lagos

Reports from the Lagos State Police Command reveal that four individuals have been taken into custody for the alleged theft of three tricycles from a mobility company based in Ojota.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the arrests during a briefing with journalists in Lagos over the weekend.

It was disclosed that the company’s secretary filed a report with the Ogudu Police Division around 10:00 am on Tuesday regarding the incident.

Hundeyin revealed that the secretary was alerted on Tuesday at approximately 7:00 am that three tricycles belonging to the company had been taken by unidentified culprits.

Following the report, a team of detectives swiftly launched an operation which resulted in the apprehension of four suspects (identities withheld) at different locations where the tricycles were traced to.

“The initial suspect was apprehended in Ondo Town, Ondo State, with the first tricycle, while the second suspect was caught at Mile 12 in Lagos State in possession of the second tricycle,” Hundeyin stated.

“The third and fourth suspects were nabbed at Idiroko, situated on the border between Lagos State and Ogun, with the third tricycle,” he added.

He further mentioned that the suspects will face prosecution once the investigation is concluded.
