Four individuals suspected of armed robbery were captured by operatives of the Delta State Police Command Rapid Response Squad during a routine stop and search operation along Kwale Road.
The apprehended suspects are Savage Roland (26 years old), Clever Imonukore (29 years old), Isaac Umukoro (49 years old), and Louis Opone (40 years old).
They were detained on the 25th of July 2024, at approximately 6:30 pm.
Additionally, law enforcement officers retrieved two newly acquired pump action guns from the suspects.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, verified the incident in an official statement dispatched to Our Correspondent in Warri.
Confirming the development, Edafe stated, “At around 6:30 pm on the 25th of July 2024, operatives of the Command’s Rapid Response Squad intercepted a Lexus 350 SUV during a stop and search operation on Kwale Road, seizing two brand new pump action guns upon examination of the vehicle.”
Furthermore, he informed that the four suspects, namely Savage Roland, Clever Imonukore, Isaac Umukoro, and Louis Opone, were apprehended.
Edafe also mentioned, “An investigation into the matter is actively ongoing.”
