Police arrest 50 suspects and discover drug den in recent operation

In response to clashes between youths and hoodlums, the Nigerian Police Force has effectively restored normalcy to Ile-Epo in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State.

A conflict erupted in the Ile-Epo area, resulting in numerous injuries, damaged shops, and destroyed goods.

Upon receiving reports of the unrest, the police, led by the Divisional Police Officer of Oke-Odo, swiftly intervened.

More than fifty suspects associated with the clashes were apprehended, and their shanties were demolished, effectively putting an end to their illegal activities.

The statement released by the police mentioned the arrest of over fifty suspects and the dismantling of their shanties as a significant achievement in restoring order to the area.

During the shanty dismantling operation, law enforcement officers unexpectedly discovered a hidden drug den that had been operating openly.

The revelation exposed the extent of criminal activities in the region and raised concerns about the prevalence of drug-related issues.

The Lagos State Police Command, in a statement signed by the Lagos PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the discovery and highlighted the prompt actions taken by Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade.

CP Adegoke Fayoade swiftly ordered the prosecution of the arrested hoodlums and emphasized the law enforcement’s commitment to maintaining peace in the area.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations), Area Commander Alagbado, and other Divisional Police Officers have remained on-site to prevent any potential disturbances to public order.
