People Look to PDP for Rescue from APC, States BoT Chair Wabara at NEC Meeting

Expressing his views, Adolphus Wabara, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees (BoT) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), emphasized that Nigerians are hopeful for the party to unify and save the nation from the rule of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Wabara pointed out the imperative need for PDP to undergo a restructuring process to position itself for claiming power in 2027, notwithstanding the ongoing hurdles.

During his opening speech at the PDP BoT meeting conducted prior to the National Executive Committee (NEC) gathering, Wabara stressed the significance of unity in the face of challenges.

Quoting Wabara, “Our collective strength is sufficient to conquer any barrier, tackle any obstacle, and achieve our joint objective of building a more robust, adaptable, and comprehensive party prepared to assume power in 2027.”

He stated, “Nigerians are presently facing trying times, looking to us as a party to organize ourselves proficiently and lead the charge for liberating our country from the firm grip of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Hence, we must enter this meeting with a clear determination to promptly devise practical resolutions to the prevailing challenges within our party,” he added.

“It is essential that we address a significant concern that burdens our collective conscience, which is the current state of the party leadership,” Wabara emphasized.
