Peace Mission: Gov Fubara Welcomed Sen Dickson and Bayelsa Delegation


Former Governor of Bayelsa State, SENATOR Henry Seriake Dickson, CON, led a delegation comprising royal majesties, highnesses, and political leaders from Bayelsa State on a peace-themed courtesy visit to Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State on Monday.

During the visit, Senator Dickson conveyed special greetings, prayers, and best wishes from the national leader, Pa Edwin Clark, OFR, CON. The focus of the visit was to discuss the relationship between Bayelsa and Rivers States and explore ways to address recent issues in Rivers State.

Reflecting on recent political events in Rivers State, Senator Dickson emphasized the need to preserve the progress made by past leaders. He stressed the importance of making sacrifices to safeguard the achievements and foster harmony in the region.

Senator Dickson also emphasized the historical, cultural, and economic ties between Rivers and Bayelsa States. He described the states as inseparably linked and urged for unity, reconciliation, and mutual respect among all stakeholders.
