After Defeating Fulham, Guardiola Believes Arsenal’s Title Hopes Were Dashed by Aston Villa Loss
Following Manchester City's 4-0 victory over Fulham, manager Pep Guardiola suggested that Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League were diminished by their home defeat to Aston Villa.
During the game at Craven Cottage, Josko Gvardiol netted twice, with Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez also finding the back of the net.
With two matches remaining for both City and Arsenal, Guardiola's side sits one point ahead of the Gunners in the league standings.
In an interview with BBC Match of the Day, Guardiola expressed, "Our aspiration, as we discussed a few weeks back after Arsenal's loss to Aston Villa, was to be in control of our own fate come the final games, including the crucial home fixture against West Ham."
