Appeal from Katsina Governor for Urgent Assistance in North West Crisis
In the North West region of Nigeria, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has urgently appealed for assistance in addressing the escalating security crisis.
At a recent meeting in Abuja between state government officials and representatives from the World Food Programme, WFP, Governor Radda made this appeal.
Expressing gratitude to the WFP representatives led by Country Director David Stevenson for recognizing the critical situation in the North West, Governor Radda emphasized the severity of the challenges faced in the region.
He noted the shift in conflict from the North East, where Boko Haram activities have decreased, to the North West, making it a current focal point of security concerns.
