Accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Results in Seven Injured Individuals and Loss of Cows
On Saturday, a Volvo truck carrying cows was involved in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, resulting in seven people sustaining injuries. The collision also included a blue luxury bus and a white Mazda bus in the Ibafo area of the expressway.
Confirming the incident to reporters in Abeokuta, Mrs. Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, stated that the accident occurred at 5:35 a.m. and had a total of 14 individuals and 16 cows involved.
The truck was transporting both cows and passengers, leading to a tragic outcome that claimed the lives of some of the cows. Driver fatigue is suspected to be the primary cause of the crash.
