The Ban on Male DJs at Female Ceremonies by Kano Hisbah
In a recent development, the Kano State Hisbah Board has imposed a ban on male Disc Jockeys (DJs) from performing at events predominantly attended by females in the state.
A meeting held with representatives of DJs in the State by the Commander-General of the board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, confirmed this decision.
The rationale behind this prohibition, he explained, is to prevent the mingling of males and females at such gatherings.
Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa emphasized that moving forward, only female DJs will be permitted to oversee events predominantly attended by women.
