Calabar Journalist’s Home Robbed by Thieves, Family Loses Valuables
A home belonging to Ike Uchechukwu, the correspondent of Vanguard newspaper in Cross River State, was ransacked by armed robbers. Fortunately, neither Ike nor his wife were harmed during the incident.
The break-in occurred early on a Tuesday morning while Ike and his wife were asleep in their home.
Recalling the frightening ordeal, Ike mentioned how the robbers managed to dismantle the burglary proofs and enter the apartment without waking them up.
According to Ike, "The burglars seemingly had master keys to access my home unnoticed. We were sound asleep after a long and tiring day."
"I suspect they might have used some kind of sleeping agent on us because we were oblivious to the ransacking of our home and car," Ike added.
