Enugu Community Upset Over Police Alleged Compromise in Demolition of Visually Impaired Man’s House
An accusation has been made by Barr Ejike Ugwu, an Abuja-based lawyer, against the police regarding their handling of a case involving Elder Anibueze Nnadi Ozor, a visually impaired man from Enugu State.
Ugwu expressed concern that if the actions of the police officers involved are not addressed, it could threaten the peace in the victim's community.
Anibueze hails from Ihekwuenu-Aku Autonomous Community, Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
In a past incident that stirred outrage in 2021, Anibueze's house was demolished allegedly on the orders of the former traditional ruler of the community, Chief Christopher Ozor.
