Senator Hanga’s Donation of Clay Pots and White Fabrics to Constituents
Senator Rufai Hanga, who represents Kano Central District, recently offered an explanation for his donation of 2,000 clay pots and 10,500 yards of white fabric (known as ‘Likkadani’ in Hausa) to the Muslim graveyards within his constituency.
As the Deputy Minority Chief Whip of the 10th Senate and a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Senator Hanga stated that his gesture was a form of devotion to God, seeking His eternal blessings in return.
The Senator clarified that these donations were not associated with his constituency projects, contrary to what critics and opponents had been spreading in a malicious manner.
