Brazil’s Supreme Court backs Netflix movie depicting Jesus as gay
The Brazil Supreme Court has overturned a judge's order to remove a controversial movie depicting Jesus as gay from Netflix.
Judge Antonio Diaz Toffoli, the head of the Supreme Federal Court, rejected the decision to stop Netflix from airing the movie "The First Temptation of Christ" which portrays Jesus Christ in a gay relationship.
Rio de Janeiro judge Benedicto Abicair had previously ordered Netflix to take down the movie from its platform.
However, Netflix appealed the decision and Judge Antonio Diaz Toffoli supported Netflix’s appeal, stating that the movie was not insulting to Christians.
