Reno Omokri’s Advice to Buhari’s Government: Borrow Wisdom, Not Billions

In response to the Nigerian government's plan to borrow $29.6 billion from foreign institutions to fund projects, Reno Omokri tweeted that what needs to be borrowed is wisdom.    The former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan criticized the "increasing foreign debt since President Buhari assumed office in 2015."   Reno Omokri pointed out that the Buhari-led administration has tripled Nigeria's foreign debt by borrowing more than other governments in the last 30 years combined.    His tweet read;     “In 2020, instead of Nigeria’s leaders to borrow $29.6 billion, what they should borrow is WISDOM. “In the last 4 years, this administration has tripled our foreign debt by borrowing more than in the last 30 years COMBINED. Tragedy struck in Kaduna as a mother and her three children lost their lives in a fire that engulfed their home in Rigasa local government area on New Year's Day, January 1st.   Reports indicate that the victims were asleep at the time of the fire outbreak, which occurred around 2 am. Despite efforts to rescue them, they tragically succumbed to the flames before any assistance could reach them. Their bodies were laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions.

300 bags of fertilizer stolen, three suspects apprehended

Law enforcement officers from the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended three individuals suspected of burglary and theft of fertilizer from warehouses in the Iganmu area.    The arrested suspects, Banjo Adeleke (57), James Dalex (52), and Haladu Junaidu (52), were taken into custody following an investigation prompted by a robbery complaint filed by the Chief Security Officer of Flour Mills.
