Violence erupts as head of vigilante in Rumuchiolu attacked by alleged local vigilante group OSPAC (graphic photos)
The head of vigilante in Rumuchiolu, Eneka, in Rivers state, was assaulted by unknown assailants and left severely injured and bleeding.
According to a Facebook user who shared the story, the attack on Mr Thank God, the vigilante head, occurred around 3:30pm.
The perpetrators were allegedly from the ONELGA Security, Peace and Advisory Committee (OSPAC), a local vigilante group formed in 2016 to combat crime and cultism in the area.
Peter Owunnah, who posted the story on Facebook, claimed that the vigilante was viciously attacked without any apparent reason, sustaining a deep cut in the middle of his head along with numerous cuts and bruises all over his body, resulting in blood flowing down his face, chest, arms, and back.
