INEC Declares Plateau Gubernatorial Polls Inconclusive The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the gubernatorial election in Plateau State inconclusive. The Returning Officer, Prof. Richard Anande, said the election was declared inconclusive because the difference between the two major contenders, APC and PDP was less than the votes cancelled. Anande said the incumbent Governor and APC candidate Simon Lalong got 583, 255 votes, while his closest rival and candidate of the main opposition PDP, Senator Jeremiah Useni, got 538, 326 votes. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Wins Lagos Governorship Election The All Progressives Congress candidate at the Lagos governorship election, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has been declared winner of the election. According to Daily Trust, Sanwo-Olu polled 739, 445 votes to defeat his arch-rival, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 206,141 votes.
