Lebanese ‘human trafficker’ arrested by NAPTIP
NAPTIP has apprehended a Lebanese individual suspected of participating in the trafficking of young Nigerian girls to Lebanon for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The suspect's arrest follows the disclosure made by Omolola Ajayi in a widely circulated video during her captivity.
NAPTIP is slated to conduct a press conference on Tuesday, February 4, to disclose more information about the arrest, as well as an intercepted baby sale. The agency's statement divulged that the NAPTIP Lagos Commander, Daniel Atokolo, will provide details about the case, and an interactive Q&A session with the Commander and the alleged trafficker will also be held.
