Proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria, also known as Shiites, took to the streets of Abuja to demonstrate against the recent killing of Iranian military commander, General Qasem Soleimani, by a United States airstrike on January 3rd.   The protesting Shiites also used the opportunity to demand the release of their detained leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenat.   Chanting hate songs and slogans such as "Death To America," the demonstrators also burned a US flag.   Below are more photos from the protest.
