Police unveils photo of suspected murderers of Afenifere leader’s daughter

Confirmation of the arrest of four men suspected of killing Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of the Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has been made by the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu.   Spokesperson of the Police Force, Frank Mba, stated that those in custody are Lawal Mazaje, 40 years old from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50 years old from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Shehu Usman, 26 years old from Illela area of Sokoto State; and Auwal Abubakar, 25 years old from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State.   Earlier, on April 6th, Yinka Odumakin, spokesperson of the pan-Yoruba group, had announced the arrest of some suspects by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigerian Police in connection to the woman's murder.   On July 12, 2019, Mrs. Olakunrin was...

Tragic Incident: IDPs Camp in Borno Devastated by Fire, Resulting in 14 Fatalities and Multiple Injuries

Reports confirm that 14 internally displaced persons lost their lives, while 15 individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries during a destructive fire outbreak at a camp for displaced persons in Ngala local government area of Borno state.   The fire, which started at approximately 2:15 pm at Ngala IS camp on Thursday April 16, has resulted in devastating consequences.   According to Mal Yusuf Gulumbo, who announced the tragic incident via a Facebook post, the fire engulfed 1250 houses. "Happening Now: Today the 16/04/2020 fire outbreaks at Ngala IS Camp burned 1250 households, unconfirmed. Fourteen confirmed dead, 7 critical injury and 8 minor injuries.
