A shocking incident has left a man on the run after viciously assaulting his wife with a pestle, leaving her with a broken head.
The disturbing incident was narrated by Facebook user Ifeanyi Calistus, who claimed to be related to the victim. According to Calistus, the man unleashed the violent attack when his wife objected to him using their bathing bucket to clean the fowl he had killed.
Sharing photos of the injured woman, Calistus wrote;
“WHEN A BEAST TURNS TO A HUSBAND, THE WIFE IS IN DANGER
A distressing image was sent to me, showing a woman with a severely broken head, bleeding profusely and poorly patched up. To my dismay, the woman turned out to be my younger sister, Calista. I immediately reached out to her but received no response.
Finally, when I managed to get through to her, I could hear her suffering in silence. She relayed that her husband, Emeka, had brutally attacked her with a pestle.
How! what happened?” I asked.
She said her husband had killed a fowl and wanted to clean it inside their bathing bucket, but she objected, fearing it would leave a bad odor in the bucket they use for bathing.
As she bent over to transfer the fowl into another container, her husband grabbed a nearby pestle and struck her on the head three times. As she struggled to regain her balance, he viciously hit her on the forehead with the pestle. She collapsed in a pool of blood, unconscious, while the man fled the scene. Thankfully, neighbors rushed her to a clinic where she was revived.
How best do I handle this beast right now. Looking at the mien of this man, he does not look like a person who can kill a fly. How could such a gentle demeanor embellish and emasculate such a pugnacious beast? Let him run as far as he can, I will get him”
