An adolescent named Joshua Olayiwola has been ordered to be remanded in the Abolongo Correctional facility, located in Oyo Town, by a Family Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan. This directive came after he was accused of defiling a young girl, the daughter of his neighbor, who is eight years old. Olayiwola was charged with the crime of defilement by the police. Magistrate Mrs. S. A. Adesina, at the hearing, refrained from taking Olayiwola’s plea citing insufficient jurisdiction.
