Owen Hargreaves Shows Sympathy for Bayern Star Following Champions League Exit

Expressing his empathy, former Bayern Munich player Owen Hargreaves shared his sentiments towards Harry Kane after the team’s recent elimination from the UEFA Champions League.

Hargreaves made these comments in response to Bayern Munich’s 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg match held on Wednesday.

Harry Kane has impressively netted 44 goals in 44 matches across various competitions for Bayern Munich throughout the season.

During the match against Real Madrid, the English forward was substituted in the 85th minute, making way for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

At that juncture, Bayern Munich had a one-goal advantage and were on their way to Wembley Stadium, with Kane leading the team’s offensive drive.

However, a late double from Joselu turned the tide in favor of Madrid, sending them through to the Champions League final.

Reflecting on the situation, Hargreaves remarked, “My heart goes out to Kane. He has truly shone as a superstar throughout the season, and to not have the chance to compete in a Champions League final is a painful blow.”
