In a recent development, the Ondo State Government has decided to suspend the general manager of Sunshine Stars General, Tunde Ogunja.
This decision was communicated by the Ondo State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon. Sara Yusuf-Ogunleye, during an announcement made on Tuesday.
Yusuf-Ogunleye emphasized that the suspension is a strategic move aimed at revamping the club’s operations.
Expressing her determination to drive out any form of manipulation within the club, she asserted, “We are focused on dismantling existing cartels and ensuring progress within the ministry.”
She further urged all stakeholders to collaborate and support these initiatives for enhanced efficiency.
Sunshine Stars have faced a challenging streak, failing to secure a win in their five most recent matches.
Currently, the Owena Waves are positioned 16th on the NPFL table with a total of 36 points.
