NYSC Issues Warning Against Indiscipline for Corps Members

In a recent development, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a stern caution to Corps members nationwide, advising them to refrain from engaging in any acts of indiscipline.

During the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ stream II corps members on Tuesday, the NYSC Coordinator in Bauchi State, Rifkatu Yakubu, emphasized the consequences that would follow any form of indiscipline, in accordance with NYSC regulations.

Yakubu stressed the importance of obeying all camp officials, referring to them as guardians, while highlighting that indiscipline would not be tolerated. She also assured the Corps members that a law-abiding attitude would lead to a fruitful and enjoyable camping exercise.

Furthermore, she made a commitment to ensure that the regimented nature of the camp would be maintained throughout the orientation course and the entire service year for the Corps members.

Addressing the gathering earlier, Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mohammed Salees, praised the Corps members for their punctual reporting to the orientation camp.

The governor urged them to uphold patriotism and become ambassadors of positive change during their service year. He also reiterated the state government’s dedication to supporting the NYSC and encouraged the Corps members to serve with unwavering dedication and commitment.
