NSCDC in Plateau State Apprehends 5 Suspects for Diverting 2 Trucks of Fertiliser

In Plateau State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken into custody five individuals on suspicions of diverting two trucks carrying 70 metric tons of Indorama fertilisers.

On Monday in Jos, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASC Ruth Rimvyok, disclosed this information to reporters.

Rimvyok clarified that the suspects were captured in the Mararaban Jama’a area of Jos South Local Government Area as a result of intelligence received.

Investigations are still in progress, according to Rimvyok, to uncover those responsible for the redirection of the fertilisers.

Abubakar Mohammed, one of the suspects, refuted claims of diverting the products and maintained they were instructed to transport the fertiliser to Bauchi State.
