NSCDC deploys 800 operatives in Gombe to oversee Easter celebrations


To enhance security measures, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Gombe State has dispatched 800 personnel across various locations in the state.

In a recent press release, State Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu revealed the collaborative efforts of these personnel with other security agencies to ensure peace and order.

The team of officers, as stated by Muazu, was selected from different units such as Operations Department, Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU), Disaster Management Unit, Intelligence and Investigations Department, Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, Nuclear, and Energy (CBRNE) Unit, Critical National Assets, and Infrastructure Protection Department, Anti-Vandal Unit, and Female Squad based at the Command State Headquarters.

Highlighting the significance of professionalism and diligence in their duties, the commandant emphasized the values that the officers must uphold.

SC Buhari Sa’ad, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, extended the Commandant’s warm wishes for a splendid Easter celebration to the residents of Gombe State and the Christian community.

He mentioned that the deployment of these personnel forms a crucial part of the Command’s strategic plan to guarantee the safety and security of all individuals within Gombe during Easter festivities and beyond.
