Nigeria’s Defense Minister, Badaru, Optimistic about Ending Insecurity

In a statement on Friday, Mohammed Badaru, Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, expressed confidence in the progress being made towards resolving the nation’s insecurity issues, citing President Bola Tinubu’s strong commitment.

Addressing troops of the Nigerian Army’s 8-Division in Sokoto, Badaru highlighted the President’s call for the cabinet to make national security a top priority.

He noted the exceptional level of collaboration among key security figures, including the Chief Security Advisor, Service Chiefs, and various security agencies, which has led to significant advancements in addressing security challenges.

Badaru reassured the troops that through proper equipment, determination, courage, and teamwork, they would soon overcome the current security obstacles.

He expressed appreciation to the troops for their unwavering dedication to protecting the nation and assured them of the government’s commitment to ensuring their well-being and that of their families.
