Nigerian Pastor and his Wife Celebrate the Birth of Triplets 18 Years after Their First Child

A heartwarming tale unfolds as Rev. Dr. Eseme Unen, a Nigerian pastor, and his wife, Pastor Esther, joyfully welcome triplets after a long 18-year wait since the birth of their first child, a daughter who is currently an undergraduate.

According to The Guardian, The General Overseer of Grace Impacts Baptist Church, Berger, Bariga, Lagos, dedicated their triplets, two boys and a girl, in a special thanksgiving service held last week.

Reflecting on her journey, the elated mother shared her experience of fervent prayers, fasting, and sowing seeds for the blessing of children, which was eventually granted by God at the appointed time.

She revealed there were moments of despair when she had to confront the harsh reality of unmet expectations, but expressed gratitude for God’s unwavering support during those challenging times.

Additionally, she disclosed the difficulties she encountered during her pregnancy, including a six-month hospitalization for treatment before the delivery.

Offering advice to expecting couples, Esther urged them to remain patient, rely on God, and resist the temptation to seek quick solutions by visiting multiple churches.

Her husband expressed gratitude to God for enabling them to remain steadfast and resist turning to unfamiliar sources for help during their trying period, remarking, “It felt like we were reaching a breaking point, but we persisted, and God answered our prayers.”

Rev. Unen stressed the importance of protecting themselves from external pressures, which ultimately helped them maintain their resilience in the face of adversity.
