Embarking on an indefinite strike over unpaid salaries, resident doctors in Abuja have faced criticism from Nigerians who deemed the action insensitive in light of the current Coronavirus pandemic.

One Nigerian doctor, @Okizle, has offered an explanation for the doctors’ decision to strike, emphasizing that doctors in Nigeria are not adequately remunerated for their services. He highlighted that the hazard allowance for medical doctors in Nigeria is only N5,000.
