Two local coaches in line for the Super Eagles head coach position have been shortlisted by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
Former Eagles media officer Colin Udoh revealed that the possible candidates are Finidi George and Emmanuel Amuneke.
Udoh hinted that the confirmation of the appointment could happen as early as Thursday.
His message on X stated: “Anticipate an announcement regarding the new Super Eagles coach either on or before Thursday.
“It appears that the final decision is likely to be between Finidi and Amuneke.”
During the recent international break, Finidi took on the role of head coach for the team in two friendly matches.
In these games, Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory against Ghana and suffered a 2-0 defeat to Mali.
