Appointment of Herve Renard as Potential Next Super Eagles Head Coach Under Consideration by NFF

Reportedly, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is actively exploring the possibility of appointing Herve Renard as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.

According to L’Equipe, Renard, who is currently managing the France Women’s team, is nearing the end of his tenure in that role.

It is anticipated that he will depart following the conclusion of the Olympics.

Renard has also confirmed that he has communicated his intentions to the France Football Federation (FFF).

Expressing his thoughts, Renard stated, “It’s a challenging position. Looking ahead, I have my eyes set on the 2026 World Cup in men’s football.

“My aspiration is to lead a men’s team at the World Cup for the third time. These personal goals drive me,” he elaborated.

Renard is a highly sought-after coach. Apart from Nigeria, he is reportedly being pursued by other national teams such as Poland, South Korea, Cameroon, and Morocco in the event that Walid Regragui vacates his current position.
