Adeleke stated that the dual carriageway will include features such as solar street lights, a walkway, and a boulevard in specific sections.

Additionally, the governor disclosed plans to rehabilitate a total of 16.5 kilometers of roads within the Osun East Senatorial District.

Encouraging cooperation from residents near the construction site, Adeleke emphasized the importance of the construction companies maintaining a positive relationship with the local community.

According to Adeleke, the dualisation project is divided into two sections, each to be carried out simultaneously. The total cost of the project is estimated to be N16,570,862,248.07.

Horizon Nigeria Limited and Showie-tee Global Services Limited have been awarded the contracts for the first and second sections, respectively.

Aside from the road dualisation and flyover, Adeleke announced a plan to construct over 16.5 kilometers of roads across the Eastern Senatorial district, averaging 1.5 kilometers per local government.

In order to ensure the project’s success, Adeleke urged the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to uphold top standards in project management, monitoring, and evaluation.
