The Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, has chosen Faruku Muhammad as the newly appointed Auditor General for Local Government.
The appointment was formalized through an official letter dated March 25, 2024. The letter, signed by the Head of the Civil Service, Safiyanu Garba Bena, was shared with the press in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.
In an excerpt from the letter, it states, “I am delighted to announce that the Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency, Dr Nasir Idris, has sanctioned your appointment as Auditor General for Local Government, effective from 24th March, 2024.
“On this occasion of your new appointment, it is expected that you will exhibit unwavering dedication, commitment, and a strong sense of duty in executing your responsibilities.”
