NDDC Encourages Delta Scholars to Represent Well

Monitoring and evaluating the beneficiaries of the Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship program in the UK is currently underway by the Niger Delta Development Commission. The aim is to assess the academic progress and well-being of the scholars.

During a meeting with the NDDC scholars at Coventry University, United Kingdom, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of NDDC emphasized the importance of verifying and evaluating the students’ performance and welfare.

This information was shared in a statement released in Port Harcourt on Friday by NDDC’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Pius Ughakpoteni, and distributed to the press.

The NDDC team, led by Dr. Ogbuku, also included Alabo Boma Iyaye, the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Ifedayo Abegunde, the Executive Director of Corporate Services, Dr. George Uzonwanne, the Director of Education Health and Social Services, and Mr. Davies Okarevu, the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics.

Dr. Ogbuku urged the students to represent the Niger Delta region positively, assuring them that the NDDC would work to address any challenges they may face.

He expressed, “Your well-being and success are our priority. We have come to address your concerns and offer support. Our commitment is to ensure your comfort, and we expect you, as scholars, to represent us well as ambassadors.”
