In a recent statement, Micah Richards, a former Manchester City defender, confidently declared that the team will secure the title by surpassing Arsenal.
Richards, during an episode of the Stick to Football podcast, expressed his belief that both teams are capable of winning all their forthcoming matches.
Arsenal currently leads with 83 points, just one ahead of City, who have a pending fixture against Tottenham.
On the upcoming matches, Arsenal will face Manchester United away this Sunday, followed by a home game against Everton on the last matchday of the season.
Pep Guardiola’s squad will play away against Fulham and Tottenham before hosting West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on the final day.
Richards shared his insights, stating, “If Spurs had faced Man City three weeks back, City’s fans might have been more apprehensive, but Spurs have been conceding too many goals recently.”
He continued, “If they persist with playing a high defensive line against Man City, they are likely to suffer heavy defeats. Adjustment is necessary.”
“It promises to be an intriguing match, but I am inclined to believe that Man City possesses a superior edge. I anticipate both Man City and Arsenal emerging victorious in their remaining matches, although a bit of competition is always exciting,” Richards concluded.
