In a unanimous ruling, the Supreme Court upheld the federal government’s efforts to bolster the autonomy of local governments nationwide.

Furthermore, President Bola Tinubu approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers on July 18 and pledged to review the national minimum wage law every three years.

Various youth organizations are gearing up for nationwide protests beginning on August 1, 2024, in response to economic challenges, insecurity, and governance shortcomings.
