Mauricio Pochettino Not Surprised by Cole Palmer’s Performance at Chelsea

In a recent statement, Chelsea’s manager Mauricio Pochettino expressed that he had not envisioned Cole Palmer making a significant impact at Chelsea.

Cole Palmer made a move to the Blues from Manchester City in a £42 million transfer back in August.

At only 21 years old, Palmer has already netted 20 goals in the Premier League, sharing the top scorer position with his former Manchester City colleague Erling Haaland.

When questioned about Palmer’s impressive goal-scoring record since joining Stamford Bridge, Pochettino remarked: “We had faith in his abilities, but his current performance has surpassed our expectations. This is his first consistent season playing, but we must proceed with caution considering his age, growth, and need for development in various areas.

“However, I must admit, he is quite different from what we initially anticipated. I believe in being transparent about this.”
