Mauricio Pochettino Blames Chelsea’s 5-0 Loss to Arsenal on Slow Start

In a post-match analysis, Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, pointed out that his team failed to respond effectively to Arsenal’s early goal, resulting in a 5-0 defeat at the Emirates.

Arsenal took the lead just four minutes into the game.

The opening goal came as Leandro Trossard skillfully converted a pass from Declan Rice at the near post.

In the second half, Kai Havertz and Ben White both netted twice to secure Arsenal’s victory.

Pochettino remarked, “I believe we didn’t start the match well.

“Conceding the goal made it tough for us to bounce back. We managed to compete in the first half after about 10 or 15 minutes.

“However, we couldn’t maintain that same intensity and competitiveness in the second half, making it easy for Arsenal to dominate the game after scoring their third goal,” Pochettino shared with TNT Sports.
